Carmen María Arenas Baeza was born in Malaga, Spain, in 2000.
She received her B. Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Malaga (UMA) in 2023. Her Bachelor's project was based on Diversity-Oriented Synthesis using de novo branching cascades from natural products under the supervision of Prof. Miguel García Castro. She completed the Master in Organic Synthesis from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) in 2024 working on the project "Towards the enantioselective synthesis of Dictyopterene A via copper-catalyzed asymmetric allylboration of acetylene gas'' under the supervision of Prof. Martín Fañanás-Mastral. Currently, she is doing the PhD studies under the supervision of Dr. Elena Fernández and Dr. Jordi Carbó at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV).
